New Delhi, Mar 18 (PTI) A gang of four adult men have been arrested for allegedly duping persons on the pretext of getting them governing administration positions, law enforcement said on Thursday.

The accused have been determined as Mudassir Habib (43), Saurabh Kumar Shukla, Sandeep Sood (35) and Ashok Kumar (45), they said.

Law enforcement mentioned Sandeep was the kingpin of the gang when Saurabh solid joining letters and ID cards, and alongside with Sandeep also satisfied the candidates and promised them govt positions.

Mudassir acquired the cheated sum and distributed the money to his associates, law enforcement claimed.

A whole quantity of Rs 1.25 crore was transferred into the accounts of the accused from roughly 50 position aspirants, who are largely people of Hamirpur, Mandi and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh, a law enforcement officer stated.

A probe was initiated versus the accused after the police been given a grievance from just one of the victim, who alleged that he had been cheated following the accused promised govt work opportunities to him, a senior police officer mentioned.

Additional Commissioner of Law enforcement (Criminal offense) Shibesh Singh mentioned throughout the investigation, paperwork and financial institution transaction receipts delivered by the complainant were confirmed and based mostly on complex surveillance, raids ended up executed at many locations in Lucknow, Mohali, Ratlam and Hamirpur next which all the four accused were apprehended. 

Investgations exposed that Ashok experienced begun a coaching academy at Mohali, Punjab and yet another at Nadaun, Himachal Pradesh next which Mudassir, Sandeep and Saurabh commenced sending position aspirants to him, police reported.

Mudassir started luring the aspirants by assuring them government jobs, such as in railways and banking companies, the officer explained.

Law enforcement explained Saurabh and Sandeep utilised to connect with the candidates for interviews in Delhi, Patna and other destinations and furnished them bogus joining letters with forged stamps.

To make it look true, the accused not only issued job interview and get in touch with letters but also conducted interviews and billed revenue in installments at just about every stage, starting off from the time of filling the application form, to interviews, obtaining the offer letter, appointment letter and although providing them becoming a member of kits right before putting up, the officer added.
