LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Teams of fellow officers, volunteers and neighborhood corporations are wrapping up renovations that may allow hurt Lexington Law enforcement officer Dawn Miller to return to her dwelling by the conclusion of up coming week.

Miller was severely hurt previously this calendar year when her cruiser was hit head-on by a improper-way driver on New Circle Highway. The other driver died in the crash and considering that the wreck, Miller has undergone many surgical procedures and stays in a wheelchair.

She has been keeping in a hotle even though the crews transform her property to make in wheelchair accessible so she can continue on her restoration and rehabilitation at house.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Whilst hurt Lexington Law enforcement Officer Dawn Miller rebuilds her system and lifestyle, volunteers are rebuilding her property to make it extra user-welcoming when she returns dwelling.

Officer Miller was badly injured on her way home from operate in April when a driver, heading the incorrect way on New Circle Road in Lexington, collided with her law enforcement vehicle.  The other driver died, even though Miller was taken to the hospital to start a long highway to recovery.

Since she is in a wheelchair, volunteers, including her fellow officers, are building her household ADA obtainable.

Lexington firefighters widened the doorways.  C&M Dwelling Maintenance is donating time and solutions to make the lavatory ADA available.

Pemberton’s Portray and Renovations, Dwelling Depot and Blue Wings of Hope have all donated money or elements to rework Miller’s household.

Renovation organizers say the intention is to get Officer Miller again in her residence by mid-July.
