France singlehandedly revolutionized the world of fashion, and for that, it deserves plenty of praise, even if we are talking about perfumes, clothes, or shoes.
Ireland
This may come as a shock to you, but Ireland is renowned for quite a number of garments. First, we have the Irish flat cap. Unconventionally popular, the flat cap was once a symbol of the common people, being worn by the working class only. In time, however, its popularity grew astoundingly, due to it being revamped by a plethora of factors. One of these factors, and probably the most popular, is the show Peaky Blinders. However, even more important to Irish history than the flat cap, is the Irish sweater. Commonly known as an Aran sweater, this piece of clothing originates from the west coast of Ireland, from the Aran Islands. They were first worn by fishermen in the area, who were struggling with the hardships of the sea. Their wives started stitching together these garments, from a special type of wool, which kept its natural oils, thus making the pullovers water-resistant. Slowly but surely, the sweaters made their way to the mainland, and steadily, towards our hearts. Nowadays, everybody is sure to own an Aran sweater, due to its versatility and comfort. Italy
No such list would be complete without adding Italy to it. Similar to France, this is a country high-end fashion can call home. Another birthplace of fine arts, statements of its vastly incredible aesthetic past lies all over the country, whether its architecture, sculptures, or paintings. It is only fitting for a state such as Italy to hold some monopoly over the fashion world.
