Chicago’s Chinatown, a triangular slice of the Around South Facet loosely bordered by Cermak Highway, Wentworth Avenue, and a northbound-snaking department of the Chicago river, has been fueling Grace Wong’s culinary cravings extended before she slice her tooth dishing on the city’s vibrant restaurant scene for the Chicago Tribune

“Both my mom and dad are from Shanghai and they immigrated to Naperville, which is about 40 minutes exterior of the town,” suggests the esteemed previous dining reporter, recalling her suburban upbringing. “When I was expanding up, we’d make this semi-month-to-month pilgrimage into Chicago, particularly Chinatown and the Argyle area, to get materials simply because there was no actual Asian inhabitants where we lived.
