The Rev. Ron Bowell sings and plays guitar during a performance by the CrossRoads Band during Kingdom Jam at CrossRoads Church, 1125 W. South St. in Salina in 2007. The Kingdom Jam this year will feature a car show outside of the church as well as the performances from different worship bands on Saturday, May 15.

Kingdom Jam will be held in conjunction with the Classic Vehicle Clearly show at CrossRoads Church for the first time on Saturday, with donation funding going to the youth application and SIDS research.

Both of those occasions underwent a alter of program more than the very last year, as the car show scheduled for 2020 was canceled during the pandemic. Kingdom Jam generally happens on the next Sunday of January but was postponed for the very same cause.

“The motor vehicle show’s outdoors, we’re going to have the Kingdom Jam portion of the celebration outside the house as properly to hopefully be able to socially distance and give individuals a minimal far more peace of thoughts about that,” claimed Pastor Jesse Smith.

One more wrinkle in Saturday’s event is that only four bands will be actively playing from midday to 2 p.m. in its place of the usual 10 to 12.
