Independence Day celebrations are back this year and many communities are pulling out all the stops to bring families and friends together with parades, festivities and, of course, brilliant fireworks displays. Here’s a list of what’s going on around Greater Cincinnati.

July 2

Hamilton: Red, White & Carts Tour, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum, 1763 Hamilton Cleves Road. Guided tours of park in golf cart with bottle of red wine and cheese plate with crackers. Runs July 2-4. Reserve time and date: pyramidhill.org.

Lebanon: Independence Day Celebration, 6-10 p.m., Solid Rock Church, 903 N. Union Road. Food trucks, car and bike show, music, games, face painting and fireworks at end of evening. 

Milford: Sparks in the Park, 8-10 p.m., Rozzi’s fireworks at 10 p.m. milfordohio.org.

West Chester: Taps, Tastes and Tunes Festival, 5-11 p.m. Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday, noon-10 p.m. Sunday, Voice of America Park, 8070 Tylersville Road. Fireworks 10 p.m. Sunday. Runs July 2-4. cincinnatifestivalsandevents.com.

There were smiles galore at the annual Northside Fourth of July Parade in 2018. The traditional parade and carnival won't take place in 2021.

Anderson Township: Independence Day Parade, 10 a.m. Starts at township operations center, 7954 Beechmont Ave. and ends at Anderson Towne Center, 7500 Beechmont Ave. andersontownship.org.

Anderson Township: LaRosa’s Balloon Glow, 6 p.m., Coney Island, 6201 Kellogg Ave. Parking is $10 before 2 p.m., $15 after 2 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. coneyislandpark.com.

Aurora: Celebrate God & Country, 5-10 p.m., Gabbard Riverfront Park, 110 Importing St. Colonial crafts for kids, Revolutionary re-enactment, music by Blaine Bowman & this Good Time Band. Fireworks at 10 p.m. aurora.in.us

Blanchester: Red, White & Blanchester Blue, 11 a.m. Saturday, noon Sunday, Downtown Blanchester. Parade at 11 a.m. from Blanchester High School. Vendor booths, rides, inflatables, live music, pie-eating contest. Runs July 3-4. Fireworks at dusk on July 4. blanchesterchamber.com.
