Independence Day celebrations are back this year and many communities are pulling out all the stops to bring families and friends together with parades, festivities and, of course, brilliant fireworks displays. Here’s a list of what’s going on around Greater Cincinnati.

Fort Thomas: Independence Day Celebration, 3-10:30 p.m., Tower Park, 950 S. Fort Thomas Ave. Parade at 10:30 a.m. starts at Highlands High School, ends at Tower Park. From 3-10 p.m. enjoy games, rides, music, food and fireworks at 10 p.m.
Franklin: Independence Day Parade and Fireworks, 10 a.m., City of Franklin. Parade begins on Park Ave. turns onto Main St. and ending at Community Park (306 E. Sixth St.). Due to construction of Dial Park West, fireworks will be launched from Community Park.
